Its all over!

Well folks,
They are alright and back in Launceston. The car will not be fixed overnight so they have had to withdraw. very unfortunate as they were doing pretty well, the lotus hit a bump inside a corner which caused it to jump and spin. Spectacular park across a culvert (i think there are some pics to come) which made getting out a bit interesting as there was a 2m drop either side.

Better luck next year guys.

Ditch Update
Posted on 18 Apr 2007 by operand
The car has been retrieved, BJ and Jon are fine..a little disappointed, unknown status on the car but we should hopefully know if they will be ready to go tomorrow tonight....

They found a ditch!!!
Posted on 18 Apr 2007 by operand
Well folks,

It looks like Jon and BJ have found a ditch. and will be out for the rest of the day..
This is Unconfirmed, but will keep everyone posted.

Devonport
Posted on 18 Apr 2007 by operand
We have had a minor off, by crashing into a ditch... everyone is ok, just waiting for a tow truck now...they didn't finish Devonport...

Reedy Marsh
Posted on 18 Apr 2007 by operand
Reedy Marsh is complete with a time of 2.52 unconfirmed. The rain seems to have stopped, which is a good thing. A nice old man gave them some tape to tape up the camera cords and i quote "Looks like a Luke Crowley audio setup".

Deloraine
Posted on 18 Apr 2007 by operand
They didn't give me much info for Deloraine but they got 4.57 unconfirmed.

Reedy Marsh up next.

Entally
Posted on 18 Apr 2007 by operand
They have made it though Entally without a problem, the rain stopped for them just long enough the finish the stage....even god loves the Exige.
Cleared Base time with no penalties (they think)

EDIT: Terry Trip down. (the fancy odometer)

Prologue Complete

Just finished the prologue! very relaxed, no silly movements and 3.58. No idea at this stage where that puts them but there is plenty of room in the breaks and the handling.

Navigators Helmet
Posted on 16 Apr 2007 by operand
Big Thanks to Jeff from the Launceston Sports Authority for retrieving and returning the Navigators Helmet.

NEWS FLASH
Posted on 16 Apr 2007 by operand

Morning of Monday the 16th
Posted on 16 Apr 2007 by operand
After some more pre-event drama.. for about an half hour their cams didn't acknowledge Jon existed... Scrutiny passed and now they are ready to go.

Sunday 15th April
Posted on 15 Apr 2007 by operand
It was a dramatic start to the campaign with a flat battery.

Failing to start the car with a bump start the RACT man came to the rescue.

The trip to Launceston Included thunder, lightning and overtaking some of the opposition.

Scrutiny in the morning.
